We are pleased to announce that ContERN is entering a new phase after a period of inactivity. As of 2026, a new team has taken on responsibility for the network and is preparing to relaunch its activities.

The new team consists of Davide Marino, Grace Conway, and Milan Reith. Together, they will work to re-establish ContERN as an active research network and as a space for exchange among scholars interested in contemporary esotericism and related fields.

We would like to thank the outgoing co-ordinators, Egil Asprem, Susannah Crockford, and Kennet Granholm, for their dedication and work during the network’s previous phase. Their efforts were key to establishing ContERN as a research network, shaping the foundations it continues to build on today.

Further details about upcoming activities and initiatives will be shared on the website soon. We warmly invite past participants and new researchers alike to (re)connect as ContERN enters this new chapter.
